I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

My Granddaughter Lyanna

I am doing this sponsored walk to support  families who have and are going through the grief that we have been through. 
Here's my story:  I was so excited to meet my first granddaughter. It came as a shock when my daughter told me she was pregnant but I got my head around it and was so looking forward to be a grandma. 
The day we found out your heart had stopped beating was one of the most devastating days of my life. You had already grown so much and at 41 weeks and 5 days your heart stopped beating for reasons we do not know and hopefully we will one day soon.  Days past and we still hadn't met you doctors and midwives wanted my daughter to deliver her so gave her inducing drugs which took 4 days to work.  On Thursday 2nd May 2024  after a very quick labour with my daughter being so strong we finally got to meet or angel baby.  You are so beautiful and always will be, so long just like your parents. I will cherish the cuddles I had with you forever in my heart my beautiful angel grandbaby. 💔💔😪😪👼👼
