Walk 100k in March 2026

I’m walking 100K in March in memory of Amelia

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

I am walking in memory of my beautiful granddaughter Amelia as we approach the second year without her. I am walking in love for Erin, Ryan and Tommie who endure this terrible loss. I am walking in support for every family who have lost a child, something no parents should ever go through.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.

Anything you are able to donate means so much.

If you are unable to donate I would welcome any encouragement! My month long challenge steps will be separate from my day to day steps...it is a challenge after all!

Thank you 🥰

I'm so emotional right now that as we approach the final days of the challenge that you wonderful people have donated so much. It's ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!
I am yet again encouraged to raise the target one last time to see if the final push can get us to £800!
I can't express just how much your support has meant to me. Your awesome kind and generous donations, your messages of support and joining me on my walks has helped heal my heart so much. It's been a heck of a journey, emotionally, physically and mentally, but just one step in front of the other has taken me to new places, go out in nature, and get stronger. The power of love from family, friends and strangers to achieve this amazing amount raised in Amelia's memory is just fantastic! A million thank yous to everyone! You are AMAZING!
But it ain't over till the 31st, still gonna be walking away, hopefully smashing that 100 kms and maybe even the new target?! 🫶

Halfway through the challenge!

Monday 16th Mar
I can't believe how quickly we're getting through the challenge! I'm feeling so much stronger and fitter, and going out whatever the weather, taking the opportunity to go to new places, see new things and enjoy nature as Spring is springing!
These daily walks have been time to reflect, to feel and to appreciate. It's been a struggle some days, and others have been brilliant. What's kept me going is the support and generosity of all my sponsors, family, friends and strangers, all coming together for a sadly needed but worthy charity, in Amelia's name. It's incredibly healing being on this journey, and the amount raised so far is just incredible, you really are the best!
Thank you so much for your support, here's to week 3!

Friday 13th Mar

Week two has been a difficult one, but thanks to your incredible donations it has been so motivating to get my trainers on and get out there, in the rain, wind and sunshine to do my daily Amelia walks. I'm having to pinch myself that we have raised over £600!! To each and every one of you, thank you so much, you all have a special place in my heart, your kindness, generosity and lovely messages of support mean the absolute world.  This challenge journey so far has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but knowing that Amelia has touched your heart enough to donate, to help other families who tragically lose their baby, is so uplifting. There is no footprint so small that it does not leave an imprint on this world.
