Tuesday 10th Mar
Ayda should have been with us 4 months today. But that’s not the world we live in. 

The only way I can describe the world where we live is a black hole. Or an abyss. Which is parallel to the world we used to live in, where we should be, with our two beautiful children. 

However, we must continue to live here for Ayda’s big brother. So even though, each minute of the day feels like we are crawling through thick tar, exhausting our body and mind to be here, we will keep going for both our children. We have to find ways to keep moving , bringing Ayda with us. For Ivor , and to find ways Ayda can have a positive impact on the world , like fundraising for Sands. 
So baby girl, we are still here, fighting through the abyss, for both of you.

Friday 6th Mar
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated. It means the world. This money will help fund training for much needed bereavement midwives who are incredibly supportive in navigating things you wouldn’t think you’d ever be doing, like registering your baby’s death and arranging your baby’s funeral. It will fund places like Rose cottage so families can spend as much time as needed to say goodbyes. It will fund staff like Trudy , who works at Rose cottage, and helped us navigate those first days after Ayda’s passing. Who would be there for your every need and took such great care of Ayda. Thank you🙏

Sunrise walk up the hill we live on 🌸

Tuesday 3rd Mar
As I was walking up, the moon was a beautiful red on my left (Ayda’s name meaning), and the sun was just about to poke above the horizon. As I turned around to take a picture , the moon had disappeared and the sun rose. But I saw it baby girl, and what I would give for you to be with me and see it too ❤️🌸

For my brave and beautiful daughter, Ayda 🌸

Monday 2nd Mar
We tragically lost our brave warrior princess to congenital AML at 2 days old. We didn’t know she had leukaemia as it is never picked up on ultrasounds. She battled so so hard, but sadly it was too much for her little body. 

The support Ayda received when she was with us was incredible. From delivery at Airedale , to the ambulance that took her to Sheffield , and at Sheffield NICU. 

When Ayda passed, she stayed at the children’s hospital at Rose cottage. The time we spent with her there are some of our most treasured memories. Facilities like Rose cottage are so important for bereaved parents. I hope to raise money to help fund places like that , aswell as research to help save babies lives.
