I’m walking 50k in April for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 50k in April for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Tuesday 1st Apr It's my first day and I've already raised my fundraising goal twice, from £175 to £250 to £300! Thanks everyone so much for donating! Apparently £200 buys a full day's training for bereavement midwives and £100 buys 5 memory boxes. I'm really proud that we can do something to help other families. Thanks again! Share
Why I'm doing this
Tuesday 1st Apr We lost our daughter, Milly, a month ago. It's very early days still with how I'm feeling both physically and mentally but I'm ready now to focus on something that's going to help both as well as raise some money for Sands. I accessed information from Sands after finding out about Milly dying. It really helped me understand what was going to happen and what choices I had. They offer a lot more than what I've accessed so far, such as a helpline, special remembrance events, training for health professionals, support groups, research and lobbying. It's really important work and I want to help.Thank you to my Sponsors
