Walk 100k in March 2026

I’m walking daily in March in memory of my beautiful daughter jessie, my angel twins and for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking daily in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today..

Especially my beautiful Jessie who would be turning 13 in April, and her twin siblings who would be 12 in May

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Day 27, walk 24 done ✅

Saturday 28th Mar
Ohh my goodness what crazy British weather we've had today!!!! Spent the morning filling my other new hanging basket whilst the weather was okay, as had some seeds that had sprouted and really needed somewhere to go. Can't wait for everything to flower!! Then I met the foster sister, took a walk all around abingdon. Did a pokemon route and caught some Pokemon. We walked all over the place, then back and forth due to pokemon routes 😅🤣. Didn't get many pictures at all, because whilst out walking, it 'snowed' twice, rained, was sunny for a tiny bit then windy AF.... Literally awful weather🥶☔🌞💨. But we reminded ourselves about who we are doing these walks for..... My mum, Jessie and my beautiful twins 😇👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻

Day 26, walk 23 done ✅

Saturday 28th Mar
Only took a local route today as the weather is awful! I took a route I've not taken since doing the walk challenges and I came across a new pokestop that I hadn't seen or spun before! It was freezing cold, but I made myself get out as I had a little energy.... I'm glad I did because the weather's just gotten worse as the day has gone on. But....... Even in the bad weather all the flowers at the moment are beautiful. It's one of my favorite things about my walks at the moment is seeing all the flowers 🌺🪴🫶🏻

Day 24 walk, 22 done ✅

Saturday 28th Mar
Ended up needing some bits from the shop, so ended up just taking an extra walk considering that I was already out and want to try and catch up. Plus the sun set was absolutely beautiful!!!! I know my mum and babies were looking down 😇👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻. Just took a walk around my local area and did a few laps 🥰🫶🏻🧡💙💛

Day 24, walk 20 & 21 done ✅

Saturday 28th Mar
First walk of today would be us getting to and going around Oxford Castle and prison...Absolutely amazing time cannot fault our guide, he was the best (slightly biased because he's basically my little brother)..... Matt made the entire tour fun, interesting and factual in ways I actually take information in. He also always made sure he was near me so I could hear him when there were certain facts he knew I would like. Got to learn so much. I can't believe how crazy, insane, clever, weird, brutal, gory ect it used to be!! Oxford has sooo much history behind it that I never knew a single thing about.... I think my new obsession might be the history of oxford now!!! It was cool seeing and going into 'the black panther's' cell that was especially made for him.... In just 10 days!!!! Then second walk would be us having a walk all around Oxford before heading home. Also the 'prison' pictures..... I couldn't take it seriously as it was Matt taking the pictures and he literally made me have my picture taken and be first...... Plus he was making comments about what faces I should pull 😂..... I'm sure by the end of the tour everyone else' on the tour knew he was my 'brother' 😅🤣

Foster sister and I

Friday 20th Mar
My sister who doesn't even walk, joined me on my walk today!!! We may not have blood connecting us. But us ex foster care kids make our own families especially when we don't have bio family

Day 22, walk 19 done ✅🚶🏻‍♀️

Friday 20th Mar
Took a walk to Albert park with the foster sister. Then up to pets at home to grab some cat food and b&m for balcony bits. Got some new hanging baskets for my many flowers growing 🌺🌸🌳🥰🫶🏻. Trying to get baskets to go around my balcony. 🥰💗 Kirsty was in charge of pictures today 😂💞💗

Day 21, walk 18 done ✅

Friday 20th Mar
I only had a little local walk today, went to a few Pokestops and caught some Pokemon, plus hatched an egg. Took a route I've not taken since doing this walk challenge. So it was lovely seeing the new flowers popping up there too. I ended up getting out way later than planned which is why I had a shorter walk than planned. But any walk, is a walk!! I just had a megga busy day, with my support worker and my hearing lady coming round..... As one left the other arrived so I didn't even get a moment to myself until I went out on my walk.... But that's why I had a little walk so I didn't over do myself. But I can now hear my doorbell again so it's a win.... Plus makes me feel much safer knowing I can hear if people are at my door again

Day 20, walk 17 done ✅

Friday 20th Mar
Took another pokemon hunt and went to Albert park and around🥚🥰. It's wonderful to see the different plants and trees this time of year🌳🌸🌺. The weather has been absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad I was physically and mentally able to get out today 🥰🙏🏻. Slowly getting these walks done, still probably finish in April but I promise I'll do all 31 walks😇👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻 🫶🏻💞

Day 20 walk 16 done ✅

Wednesday 18th Mar
Two walks today to try and make up for the days I've had to take off🧡🩵💛. Took a walk down to the vets to sort my cats information and other bits out. Had a little cry as I left because I had to go past the room VeeVee went to heaven in😻🌈😭. I then took a walk into town to have a Pokemon hunt and hatch some eggs, as it's a weekly challenge🥚. Got to look at some beautiful flowers along the way too after leaving the vets🌸🌳💞

Day 18, walk 15 done ✅

Monday 16th Mar
Went on a little local pokemon hunt for a walk today. Really not feeling myself today, but a walk is better than nothing. I know my mum gave me the tiny bit of energy I had, to get out 🫶🏻💞. I do love the flowers that start to appear this time of year, it's beautiful. Absolutely drained and my head feels like its an engine taking off 😑🤯.

Day 17, walk 14 done ✅

Sunday 15th Mar
Today isn't the day for me mentally, plus I'm absolutely knackered😑🥱..... Plus mother's Day just blooming sucks!! 😇👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻. 💞I have had some people wish me a happy mother's day. It means the world to me that my babies are remembered by some people 💕. I only went for a little walk around the block, to make sure I did do atlesst a walk, and get a bit of fresh air, and to hopefully make my mum and babies proud of me🙏🏻🌳. Just walked around looked at some plants and trees🌸🍁. Came home and watered my hanging baskets, Nathan had just watered one of my new ones for me 🫶🏻. Took a picture of the beautiful dafadils(?). That are out the front of mine. A neighbor planted them last year... They've not long started growing. They are ironically the same flower that Sands used to make Jessie's walk donation QR code

Day 16, walk 13 done ✅

Sunday 15th Mar
Originally went on a Pokemon hunt to the post office to send a card to a friend in Australia. Had a bit of a sit down and rest then.... I had a walk through town, there happened to be some science fair on? It was really cool. I got to hold a piece of a meteor, a piece of mars and a piece of the moon!! Then another stall had bugs/bacteria ect... I got given an antibiotic looking stress ball 😂. Then had a slow Pokemon walk back home. Weather was definitely all over the place today, but has been beautiful at times ☀️.

Day 15, walk 11 & 12 done ✅

Sunday 15th Mar
Took another pokemon go walk into town where I had to pick up some meds. I popped in to a local photographers shop to pick up some more of his cards and post cards 💝(I send them to my fellow American friends). Then I made my way to the post office where I posted cards to two friends in America 🫶🏻🤟🏻. Had a break and sit down for a little while, fought some pokemon gyms. I then took a walk via box hill way to get home. Took me 4hrs ish to get the two walks done today. But I managed 💪🏻🫶🏻. Had to take a day off yesterday as my EDS hypermobiliy flared badly. I woke up in agony my right knee was double it's normal size and I could hardly stand. Even had to take the day of physio because of how bad it was 😑😑. Thank you again to everyone who has donated so far to the two charities I'm walking for 🫶🏻💝😇👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻🪽🪽🪽🪽🎗️

Day 13, walk 10 done

Wednesday 11th Mar
Had another pokemon walk today. Took a route towards town. As I also had to go to town to grab meds and some bits. Had a little walk around, grabbed some pokestops and then walked homeways. Where I carried on getting Pokemon and pokestops, and even managed to hatch some eggs! Definitely typical British weather today.... Warm, cold and a little bit of rain all within a few hrs of me being out... Ohh the joys 😂. Didn't walk yesterday as my body wasn't well, woke up with the dredded CVS monster, and had a hospital appointment, thank goodness they changed it to over the phone!! Again thank you to everyone so far that has donated to my Sands walk in memory of Jessie and my twins and to Roy Castle lung cancer foundation in memory of my mum 👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻😇🪽🪽🪽🪽. I know I won't finish until April time, but again I promise I will do all 31 walks 🫶🏻🙏🏻🤟🏻

Jessie's Bear

Monday 9th Mar
How will my baby be 13 next month 😭😭. All I've got is her bear

Jessie's Bear 🫶🏻😔

Monday 9th Mar

Day 11, walk 9 done ✅

Monday 9th Mar
Decided I would take a Pokemon go route.... Took a different way to Albert park, had a walk around, caught some Pokemon and then walked home 🥰🫶🏻. Took me much longer than I anticipated 😅. My hips and spine are extremely irritated🙃. So I jumped in a hot magnesium bath 🛁, now chilling watching the Simpsons with Hattie-Boo, Jessie's Bear and with my heat pad. The weather was definitely hit and miss today. But it was nice to get out for a bit☁️🌤️. Look..... We've got some of our seeds sprouting!!! 🌿🌱. Also a reminder I'm raising money for Sands in memory of my daughter Jessie as well as, raising money for The Roy Castle lung cancer foundation in memory of my mum. If you've donated to either, it truly means the world to me 🌎🫶🏻. Thank you all for your support. I felt really really rough yesterday and ended up sleeping most of the day. So I didn't go for a walk.... That's why I started early because my body can be unpredictable. But I promise I will do all 31 walks even if I don't complete them until during April 🥰🫶🏻

Day 9 walk 8 done

Monday 9th Mar
Went into Oxford with the foster sister Kirsty. Had a walk around the outside of the old Oxford prison. Oxford history is actually rather cool!!! Definitely looking forward to learning more! Especially knowing people that know people that were in the prison. Plus having a close friend who does the prison tours!! We then had a walk around Oxford city center... Went to Primark and blessed AF that they actually had the Alpine clothes in...... EEEEEEEKKKKKKK, I wanted it all 😂. Jumper went straight on 😁🤣. Perfect for the first race weekend

Day 8, walk 7 complete

Monday 9th Mar
Back to typical British weather, warm one min cold the next 😂😕. Didn't go for a very fascinating walk today. As I had to go to pets at home to grab Hattie some bits..... Plus b&m where I got some more seeds and balcony bits 😅😂🌿🌵🌼

Day 7, walk 6 completed

Thursday 5th Mar
Summer is on its way 🌞🐝 Me and the other half went out for breakfast. Then went into town to buy some new seeds and some pots for my balcony. I like to pick seeds/flowers that bees like 🐝🫶🏻. Might not have an awful amount of space, but I've always kept it nice during the summer 🌞🌼🌿.

Day 6

Thursday 5th Mar
Day 6 After yesterday, today was a day at home. So decided we would plant some seeds and take babies off some of our succulents to start to grow them into their own plants 🌵🌿🌼. My mum loved plants and growing things. Have some good memories of her in the garden 😇🌼.

Walk 5

Thursday 5th Mar
Walk 5 complete. Today totally screwed with me physically and mentally. But I had a good physiotherapy appointment and went to my mum's grave to put some mother's day bits and Easter bits on (I'm not sure when I'll next be able to make it back down). Plus some new flowers. Walk wise.... Not gonna lie it's one I want to forget.. But I definitely went on a walk.... In fact I got lost and stuck 'bloody yay'.... Some poor old gentlemen helped me bless them!!!! It's why I never usually go somewhere I've never been before, especially alone. But I trusted Google maps 'walk' option for directions and it gave me the least disabled friendly 'walk' possible! Never doing that again!! I'll stick to where I know!!! On that note to all my disabled folks..... Is there like a 'disabled maps'? Because i generally could have cried and the pain I'm still in, is insane!!! Definitely a rest day tomorrow, once my hearing lady has been out to see me

Walk 4

Monday 2nd Mar

Walk 3

Sunday 1st Mar
Walk 3 completed.

I decided to take a walk down and around Albert park today as the weather was actually rather nice!
Took me a little while and a few breaks but it was a lovely walk. It started getting chilly as I was walking home.
Now home watching the Simpsons.  I'm walking for my mum and my babies this month 👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻😇🧡💙💛🪽

Walk 2 completed

Saturday 28th Feb
Walk 2 completed 🧡💙💛👼🏻🪽.
I woke up feeling awful, so I slept all morning. Managed to keep meds down and muster up the energy this afternoon to get out for a walk. Bumped in to my eldest god son had a little chat. Then decided to play Pokemon go whilst out on my walk.
Now home and ready for a chill evening with Hattie watching Star wars 🥰😺🧡💙💛.  The next month is all about my mum and my beautiful daughter 💞🪽👼🏻

Walk 1

Thursday 26th Feb
I've started early because I don't know what next month holds for me medically.
Walked to town and met my friend for the doctors.
Then made my way to the JR, where I went from one end of the hospital (ENT) to the other side (Stoma team, then my ultrasound).
Bladder definitely isn't happy, but I'm home with my heat pad, getting ready for a chill evening and an early night
Will add pictures of my artwork that is still up in the hospital from when I was a teen
