I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

So this is my story… two weeks before Christmas 2024 , I suffered a miscarriage. It was devastating . To think your going to be a mum then suddenly your not, is one of the hardest things I have ever been through. You blame yourself, you blame your body for letting you down. Walking through shopping centres you suddenly notice every baby related thing possible. It’s like the world is suddenly screaming at you “ look what u lost” I reached out to my local Gp and they recommended therapy and to contact sands. When I did my whole world changed I realised I wasn’t alone. That’s why I’m walking 100k in March for sands to give back a little what they have been able to give me. To help someone else who feels very lost. 

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
