I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Hardest goodbye.

Tuesday 10th Sep
It's very hard for me to talk about our loss and in detail so I'll only write briefly. We lost a little life on the 20th August 2021 and I had surgery on the 3rd September to have them removed. Unfortunately, surgery wasn't successful and complications occurred for almost 3 months after. Heartache after heartache with no chance to grieve, I found myself hating the world and shutting down. 
I never wanted to be pregnant again, it was awful from the start with being poorly and set fear in to my soul that something bad would happen. 
Unfortunately, I was right. 
Our little light burnt out and everything we thought we were going to have as a family was shattered. 
Numerous weeks that turned in to months of hospital visits became numbing, I forgot why I was even there some times as it was becoming routine. 
October 29th 2021, I finally received the all clear that I was no longer pregnant. Although a huge relief also left a huge hole. It was the hardest goodbye. 

This is just part of my story and reason as to why I am passionate for helping parents to receive the support for loss. A scary and dark time that can be made that little more bearable.

And I'm off! 
Set off to work this morning walking, because I didn't really know the areas I walked through, instead of it taking 40minutes to get to work it took an hour. I saw a lot of fields and went through many spiderwebs haha! I've hit over the 10km mark already in two days, very proud 👏 

Rainbow baby day 🌈

Today is rainbow baby day a very hard pill to swallow for those who have mixed emotions. Wether you have your rainbow baby like myself but are still reminded of the grief you still haven't dealt with. Whatever the journey you are going through please don't stay silent, talk to someone. This is why I am donating to SANDS as they provide professional support for pregnancy and birth baby loss - you are not alone xxx

Facebook has made this fundraiser difficult to set up so and they added charges to donate which I found very silly.  So please find my fundraiser page that I will update regularly starting 1st September 💜💕 

I'm walking 100km starting 1st September to help save babies lives and for those dealing with grief and heartbreak to have the support that's needed. 

My t-shirt is in the post along with my sponsor forms and I'm already trying to reach my target of 3km a day before I start. Doesn't seem a lot but when your day job is sitting most of the time  its very hard to make up the miles thereafter 🥵
