I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

My Boy Alfie

Hi everyone, I'm George and 12 years ago at the young age of 21 we was given the news no parent wants to hear on our 20 week scan Alfie was seen to have a tumour on his brain, after many test and around 2 weeks later movement had stopped and unfortunately Alfie had gone my partner at the time had to give birth to Alfie and after 3 very long days in the hospital Alfie was delivered sleeping on the 31st December 2013 

My aim is to help anyone who has had a similar event happen in their life and to try and raise awareness to people of how hard something like this is for both mother and father 

I have done a couple of things for sands before but the more that happens in my own life the more I realise trying to help make a difference for others is where my heart truly lies
