I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Running 31 miles in May

Thursday 1st May
I have signed up to run 31 miles (50km) in May for Sands, a charity that support families facing pregnancy and baby loss.

As many may know I enjoy running however stopped at 24 weeks pregnant. I am just getting back into running now 3 months postpartum and feel like signing up to this challenge will keep me accountable and also raise money to support such a great charity.

Dan and I have been through our own journey in 2024 with a missed miscarriage at the start of the year (something I’d never even heard of) and our pregnancy with Oliver was quite a journey undergoing multiple extra tests and scans at the John Radcliffe hospital, and for the first half of my pregnancy we were unsure if he would be here today!

I feel extremely lucky that we have our beautiful boy here today but know so many sadly have a different outcome. pregnancy and baby loss is so common, so I am keen to support this amazing charity and raise money to help family’s going through the unimaginable.

If you are able to donate I would be so grateful ☺️
