I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why are I completing this challenge?

Friday 27th Feb
Every step I take in the Sands Walk 100K challenge is for the babies who should be here and for the parents who carry them in their hearts instead.

Almost everyone knows someone who has miscarried, had a still birth or experienced the loss of a baby. It is far more common than we talk about.

I want to help raise awareness and support the work that Sands do to support these families.

This is a challenge I wanted to do whilst on maternity leave with my rainbow baby. A way to honour those we’ve lost whilst soaking up the last few precious days before heading back to work. Pushing the pushchair for each mile is a reminder of both how fragile an beautiful this journey can be.

If you are able to donate, share or cheer me on, you’re helping to support more people than you realise.

Thank you
