I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.
Support me as I take on 5, 10 or 15km in support of Sands, helping them to continue to build a world where more babies survive and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.
Ribbon Run is a sponsored run, walk or jog where thousands of people come together to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. It’s free to sign up and it’s up to you how you take part. You can run it, walk it, push it, or jog it; alone or with friends and family.
By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.
£3 - could provide a Sands birth certificate for a baby whose birth cannot be registered through a register office.
£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.
£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My Updates
Anthony David Connelly
Saturday 12th OctIt's heartbreaking to recall the events of 20th June 2013, a day that forever changed the lives of my family and me. We lost our precious baby boy, Anthony David Connelly, and the trauma of that experience still lingers with us. My beautiful mam, who is so strong and loving, suffered immensely, both emotionally and physically, as she went through the loss of her unborn child and faced life-threatening complications. My dad, a pillar of strength, stood by her side, watching her suffer and feeling helpless to ease her pain. Meanwhile, my brother and I, being so young at the time, struggled to understand the gravity of the situation but continued to pray for our mam’s recovery.
Even now, years later, the pain persists, and I often find myself wondering about the life we could have shared with Anthony. It's difficult to imagine the experiences we could have had together, the laughter, the sibling bickers , and the love we could have shared. As I've grown older, the loss feels even more profound, and I often wonder what could have been.
Whilst being settled back into university & undertaking plenty of work I have managed to find the time and day to take part in this years 'Ribbon Run,' a 15km run I'll be undertaking on Monday, 14th October, in honour of Baby Loss Awareness week. This run aims to raise awareness for Sands, a charity supporting families who have experienced stillbirth and neonatal death. By raising funds for Sands, we hope to improve the care provided to families during these difficult times and work towards preventing the loss of precious lives. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference, and I'm grateful for any support in this cause.
Your support will help families like mine who have been impacted by the loss of a baby during pregnancy and after birth. Join me in making a difference and honoring the memory of our precious angels. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
Forever grateful🤍
