We are running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss in memory of baby Alfie McPherson
We have committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
In January 2024 our best friends Lisa and Barry's beautiful boy was born sleeping at 25 weeks. The devastation of his loss cannot be described. Grant and myself wanted to do something in his memory and in support of his incredibly strong parents and their families.
2k might not sound like much to some people but for us it will certainly be a challenge. Especially after all the Christmas dinners!
To keep it simple we're both fundraising on one page, the runs tracked are from Elles Garmin but Grant will be matching (if not exceeding) the distance.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
We all know January can be tough money wise so any donations will be massively appreciated.
