I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Ryvre Aliah Robinson
Friday 26th Dec My wife and I lost our baby girl, Ryvre, at 28 weeks gestation to preeclampsia in 2012. This was one of the worst times we have experienced in our life’s. To bury your own child should never happen but to hold our daughter in a coffin in the size of a shoe box was sole destroying. Whilst in hospital after given birth my wife's blood pressure went so high she nearly died. We had to stay in hospital until she recovered, during this time Sands supported us through the process and it felt like they actually understood unlike others that haven’t experienced or dealt with this before. Sands offered a memory box and helped suggest what might be nice to look at in the future, even now I find myself looking in that box. They also provided tiny knitted clothing to fit our baby as she only weighed 1lb 13oz at birth. We were offered free support too for months afterwards which was beneficial to us as a family. Please support this charity by donating anything available little or large it will be appreciated.
