I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Running 31 Miles in May for Sands: In Memory, in Honour, in Hope
Tuesday 22nd AprThis May, I’m dusting off and lacing up my running shoes and taking on the challenge of running 31 miles—one for each day of the month—to raise money and awareness for Sands, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity. This isn’t just a run. It’s personal. It’s painful. It’s healing. It’s for them.
Recently, my partner and I experienced something no one ever should—the loss of a child. Our baby, carried with love and hope, for only 12 weeks ,never got the chance to take a breath in this world. There are no words to describe the grief that comes with that kind of loss. It doesn’t go away. It becomes a part of you.
So this May, I’m running 31 miles for the babies who never got to come home. For the parents who leave hospitals with empty arms. For my partner, for our baby, and for every family who’s walked this heartbreaking road.
Each mile is a tribute. Each step is a symbol of love, remembrance, and the fight to make sure fewer families have to endure this kind of loss.
If you’re able, I would be deeply grateful for your support—whether that’s by donating, sharing my story, or simply holding a moment in your heart for those affected by baby loss.
Together, we can break the silence. We can honour the smallest lives with the biggest love.
