I’m running at least 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
1 in 4 pregnancies sadly end in loss with 1 in 2 people in the UK experiencing loss or knowing someone who has - so I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January to raise money for Sands. Devastatingly in August Isaac and I became part of that statistic and sadly lost our pregnancy. Charities like Sands have been a huge part of our own grieving process while we navigate understanding what’s happened to us.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
