I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Why am I doing this?

I’m doing this for my baby toby, to help raise more money for those babies lost to be able to come home for a short period of time. I was 1 of the lucky ones who got to bring my still born baby home to spend precious time in the comfort of my own home with all the privacy I needed. Also to help for anything else needed to but this is my main reason as I as a mother in such a horrible place still had that glimmer of glad to be able to have taken him back home even if it was only for a few weeks, I don’t think I’d of coped if I had to leave him in a hospital and have to wait to see him again in a coffin. Taking him home in a cold cot made my life at that time just the tiniest bit more bearable and I’ll forever be glad I got that time with him❤️
