Carried for a Moment, Loved for a Lifetime

In November, my partner and I lost both of our babies to miscarriage.
One of them we were lucky enough to see on a scan with a healthy beating heart. For a moment, we had hope. Loving them, even for such a short time, changed us forever.

Pregnancy loss is something so many people experience, yet it’s still surrounded by silence and misunderstanding. The grief doesn’t end with the miscarriage, it stays with you, in quiet moments, in reminders, and in learning how to move forward while carrying that loss in your heart.

Throughout January, I’ll be running 2km a day in memory of our babies and for everyone who has experienced pregnancy or baby loss. I’m doing this for those who feel unseen, for those navigating grief, and for the babies who were carried for a moment and loved for a lifetime.
