I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.

Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. If you’d like to join me on this challenge, you can sign up here http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk Starlight Walk events take place across the UK or you could choose to take part virtually at a location of your choice.

On the darkest of nights, the stars shine the brightest.

In memory of Belle & Edward

Friday 14th Aug
Hi, I’m Cherie. I’m a mum who has sadly experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing two of my babies my beautiful Belle, who I lost at full term, and my precious Edward, who I lost at 18 weeks pregnant. 💔👼🏻

Losing a baby is a pain that never truly leaves you. You learn to carry it with you, but there are moments when the smallest memory can mean everything.

When we lost Edward, we were incredibly lucky to receive a beautiful memory box through the Sands bereavement team. It contained a teddy, a tiny hat, a little Moses basket, his hand and footprints and certificates made especially for him. These were such precious things to receive during the darkest time of our lives.

With Belle, things were very different. I only had her hand and footprints and a little cutting of her hair. Back then, there simply wasn't the same level of support or resources available to bereaved parents.

At the time, you don't always realise just how important these memories will become. As the years pass, that little box of precious keepsakes becomes something you treasure beyond words. ❤️

That's why I want to raise money to help support other parents going through the devastating loss of their babies. No parent should have to feel completely alone in those darkest moments. If we can help provide memory boxes, support and a little bit of comfort when families need it most, then something beautiful can come from our own heartbreak.

I will be fundraising in loving memory of Belle & Edward, my two beautiful heaven babies, and for every baby who sadly couldn't stay. 👼🏻🌈💗

Because every baby matters. Every baby deserves to be remembered. And every grieving parent deserves support, compassion and the chance to make precious memories that they can hold onto forever. 🩷

If you can support my fundraising, even with a small donation or by simply sharing this, it would mean more to me than you could ever know.

For Belle. For Edward. For every precious baby gone too soon. 🕊️💗

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our babies. xx
