I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I am doing this 🤍

Sunday 15th Feb
In March, I’ll be walking 100km for SANDS, a charity that supports families affected by miscarriage and baby loss 🤍

This is a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. I’ve experienced both a missed miscarriage and an early miscarriage, and I also have many friends who have gone through loss during pregnancy. We are 1 in 4 🪽

All babies matter and deserve to be spoken about, remembered, and acknowledged even if they never made it earth side. Saying their names, sharing their stories, and allowing space for grief is so important, and no loss should ever be minimised.

Every day in the UK, 13 babies die shortly before, during or soon after birth. 
1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage.
These numbers are heartbreaking and yet pregnancy loss is still something so many people feel they have to go through quietly.
