I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. 

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My 5th Ribbon Run for Sands 🩷 💙

This will be my 5th Ribbon Run that I have done for Sands raising vital funds and awareness of baby loss and helping to support bereaved families at such a traumatic and difficult time. 

I lost my daughter Alana at nearly 18 weeks pregnant due to a rare chromosomal syndrome called Edwards or T18. This was on the 15th October 2020 and was an extremely traumatic time for myself, husband and close family. Since October 2021, I have taken part in the Ribbon Run as I wanted to do something positive and help raise money to support bereaved families who have been through a similar experience to me.  

This will be my second year as a Ribbon Run Champion as I host the Bexley Ribbon Run at Danson Park on Saturday 11th October 2025 at 9.45am. Please come and join us on the day for our Ribbon Run/walk or donate any funds no matter how small to this amazing charity. It is very close to my heart.
