I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Wednesday 31st Dec Massive Thank you for everyone’s support so far. The original target has unexpectedly been achieved already so I’m pushing for £300. Any support is going to a charity that supports a great cause and will help many people through the heartache of loss. Share
Our Journey
Saturday 27th Dec My wife and I met in October 2021, we very quickly knew it felt right and decided that we wanted a baby. We began trying and found out In April 2022 we’d been lucky enough to fall pregnant. We had 10 weeks with this baby until my wife started bleeding and we found out we’d had a missed miscarriage. After losing baby #1, weeks tried again and fell pregnant in September 2022. Full of fear and excitement we thought this time was our time, however, at 11.5 week at a slightly earlier scan we heard the heartbreaking news that baby #2 had no heartbeat, and at 13 weeks we went to hospital and my wife underwent a procedure to remove the baby. We spent Christmas 2022 full of grief and uncertainty. In January 2023, we fell pregnant for the third time, however this baby only stayed with us for a few weeks. Since our 3 losses we have been blessed with two beautiful little boys in October 2023, and April 2025. We know how luckily we are, and how for so many people the future of pregnancy and childbirth can feel uncertain.Thank you to my Sponsors
