I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Sunday 29th Mar Was a privilege to do this charity walk in memory of my daughter Jess, the walk had to stop early due to health apts but I got the 100km done.

Friday 13th Mar As I was walking around the lake on my own, in my thoughts, the realisation of what I'm doing in memory of Jess, having to go through labour, knowing she wasn't going to make it to having rainbow Isaac due on her 1st year anniversary. Has been a lot to comprehend, deal with, I've pushed a lot of feelings down over the years, and they often resurface at all sorts of times. I'm not truly sure I have processed it all and probably never will truly. It certainly changed me as a person, maybe became a little more serious, made me a very anxious mum to my boys. But I am proud of what I've achieved with this walk and hope Jess is proud of me to. Share

Wednesday 18th Feb I'm doing this walk in the memory of our daughter Jessica Alice who we said goodbye to in April 2014. She had a rare lethal form of dwarfism- Thanatophoric dysplasia type 1 . This will be a challenge fitness wise as I have a chronic pain condition coccydynia....but I will complete it.
