Walk 100k in September 2025

Walking 100K in September

So, here's the back story that's motivating me to walk 100k in September....

14 years ago I dated a guy who was family orientated, attentive, loyal and made me laugh sooo much!  Long story short... we parted ways and both took different life paths.  Fast forward via several lessons but also plenty blessings and we got married in July 2024.  Children weren't really on our radar this time as I now have 4 beautiful, but expensive daughters.

Craig would have made the most fantastic biological dad bringing so much stability, love and joy to any child.  I already knew this, but he proves it by the way he is with my daughters.  Never trying to replace anyone but always there to be their biggest supporter and making them belly laugh at any opportunity.

Despite not planning to extend our family, we announced our surprise bundle would be arriving in October 2025!  Although frightened to start with, we embraced our news and I couldn't wait to give Craig his first bundle of joy and watch him grow into the most amazing biological dad that I knew he would be!

We bought the best pram, beautiful nursery set and numerous baby clothes!  The girls were so excited and hoping for a baby brother, something they'd never experienced before.  Names were discussed on a daily basis and they all took on roles to help me while I struggled with morning sickness.

Then the most painful, isolating day (probably of my life) came and hit us like a sledge hammer!  My 16 week routine midwife appointment came and no heartbeat was heard.  Craig was working over an hour away and I was alone.  Sent to hospital for an emergency scan where they confirmed our surprise baby had died.

Their baby brother came 3 days later.

We named him Zion Sequoia.

We still have no answers and are stuck in groundhog day...silently but constantly mulling on the same thoughts and questions, breaking our hearts over and over again.

So I decided to take a positive step that I'm hoping will help my mind but also raise crucial funds to support this charity that helps families in their darkest of days.

If you feel you can donate just a small amount, that would be so kind!

Thank you so much. xx
