We’re taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

In support of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October) we will be running the 10k Sands Ribbon run in Heaton Park on Saturday 11th October.

Sands is an amazing charity supporting families who experience loss of a baby and aims to create a world where fewer babies die.

In 2023, we lost our precious daughter Hanna at 26 weeks. Our world fell apart. What helped us through the darkest moments was the incredible care, compassion, and understanding we received from our bereavement midwives, supported by the charity Sands. Because of them, we were given the space to grieve and the precious chance to create memories with our daughter—memories that bring us comfort even now.

Our hope is to raise awareness of baby loss, to break the silence that surrounds it, and to ensure that more families receive the care and support they so deeply need.

Together, we can help Sands continue their vital work and let bereaved families know that they are not alone.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
