💗 Dancing for Winter – Baby Loss Awareness Zumbathon 💗
This October, instead of taking part in the annual Ribbon Run for Baby Loss Awareness, we’re doing something a little different - and a little more dance-filled!
On Monday 13th October, the Corn Exchange in Alford will come alive with music, colour, and movement as we host a Zumbathon to raise funds for Sands – the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society.
For me, this fundraiser is deeply personal. On 12th September 2024, my precious daughter Winter was stillborn. The pain of losing her is something I carry every day, but so is the love. I want to keep her memory alive in a way that brings people together and helps others who are facing the same heartbreak.
The Ribbon Run has always been a powerful event for Baby Loss Awareness, but this year, I wanted to create something that reflects Winter’s name, her light, and her joy — even though she never got the chance to dance herself, we can dance for her.
Let’s fill the room with energy, love and hope - for Winter, for all the babies gone too soon, and for the families who need our support.Â
