I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Satrurday 11 October 2025. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My Baby loss story

My name is Courtney 

I am taking part in the Ribbon Run to help save babies’ lives, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Having personally suffered five miscarriages since the year 2023 I know the pain and heart ache of being told the devastating words of ‘unfortunately there is no heart beat’  and what it’s like having to bury the remains of my own babies I loved dearly. I know the pain and heartbreak that so many families go through, and I want to do everything I can to support the vital work that helps protect and save little lives. Every step I run will be in memory of the babies we have lost and in hope for those still to come. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and is so deeply appreciated.
