Hi all 👋🏼

I’ve decided to join the ‘walk 100km in March’ for the charity SANDS.

SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting families affected by the loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after. They provide emotional support, offer resources, and raise awareness about stillbirth and neonatal death, all while working to improve care and reduce baby deaths through research and advocacy. Their mission is to ensure no one has to face such a devastating loss alone.

As many of you already know, in October 2021, I experienced a type of miscarriage called a molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy occurs when there is an abnormal growth of tissue within the uterus - a type of pregnancy that happens in only 0.1% of women. It was an emotional time for both myself and Adam as we faced uncertainty and the unexpected and difficult reality of needing medical intervention. The journey was physically and emotionally draining, involving endless tests and follow-up care for months after to monitor my health.

I feel incredibly lucky to have my three beautiful babies now, an experience that not everybody is lucky enough to have.

Even though the sofa and I have a very good bond, I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
