My target 100 mi
I’m walking 100K in March for Sands in memory of my beautiful first born baby, Oscar.
I ran 50 miles in March a few years ago but due to a persistent ankle injury I'm now taking on a much more sensible walking challenge. I’ve committed to walking at least 100K in March. Inspired by Oscar, snowdrops and this lovely Spring we are having I have already been jumping off the train a stop early, extending my school run and basically adding more steps to my everyday life. I'm feeling more positive and energised. I'm proud to have reached 25k (6th March)
To be honest I read it as 100 miles at first SO if I manage to raise £200 by 20th March I will commit to going the full 100 miles. I'm also committing to using a proportion of those miles to finish breaking in my new midlife crisis Docs, which I've been working on for a month or so, ouchie!
I love Sands and I'm proud to be a supporter and volunteer. They have been there for me in some of my darkest times and continue to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. I will be so grateful for anything you donate.
Thank you.
