I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Slow Starts
Tuesday 4th Mar It's taken a while to get anything going, I started the month stuck in bed and wondering how long it'd be until I could stand up without my head spinning. But here I am! Slow, yes, but the first few days I needed to ease myself in to life again.So far I've loved the kind and supportive group I get to be a part of on this meaningful journey, hearing everyone's stories and watching their progress! I don't really have that much of a story or that much progress (so far haha) because my motivation comes from the experiences of others.
So my story, I suppose, is simply one of support. Baby loss is a tragic thing no matter what the circumstances and obviously I knew that already but entering further into adulthood I found out just how common it is and how many people I know have suffered through it. Some have had their rainbow babies and I'm overjoyed for them but I know so many others are not so fortunate.
So I'm doing this for all the mothers and fathers I know, those who have had miscarriages, stillbirths or lost their precious baby some time after birth. And for all the other parents I don't know who have gone, are facing now or are going to go through the horror of losing their child.
