I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

I’m walking 100k in March!

Friday 21st Feb

In May of 2021, I became incredibly ill. My symptoms were peculiar and eventually I went to an out of hours doctor who told me I was pregnant. I had gone years thinking this was something that would never happen for me and the surge of emotion I felt at that moment was immense. Sadly, joy quickly turned to dread. I was rushed to hospital where I was told that the reason I was so ill was because I was suffering an ectopic pregnancy. I didn’t understand what this meant and the hours and days that followed after were truly the most traumatic and heart wrenching I have ever experienced. 


The grief and pain you feel after losing a baby splits your soul open. I have never known agony like it and if I can help, comfort, support or just be another shoulder to cry on for any person or family feeling this grief, then 100K steps is light work 🤍


Sands is an incredible Charity providing support and bereavement care to anyone going through loss and work to reduce any deaths. No matter how little, donate if you can :)
