I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Support me as I take on 5, 10 or 15km in support of Sands, helping them to continue to build a world where more babies survive and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.

Ribbon Run is a sponsored run, walk or jog where thousands of people come together to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. It’s free to sign up and it’s up to you how you take part. You can run it, walk it, push it, or jog it; alone or with friends and family.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£3 - could provide a Sands birth certificate for a baby whose birth cannot be registered through a register office.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

WE DID IT!!! 🩷💙

Massive congratulations to everyone who turned up and participated in our Roath Park Ribbon Run on Saturday. We had a beautiful morning, the sun was shining down on us. Some walked, some ran, 5-15k and some were there to supprt their loved ones. 🫶🏼 
I managed just over 5k which was three laps around the lake, and i was without any aids which was amazing. I met so many lovely people  and I was very honoured and their stories were heartfelt 😢🫶🏼. For some the loss has been very recent, but any loss is difficult to bare regardless of time   and I was told that Saturday's event was a great comfort for the families to honour their loved ones. Participants had travelled a distance to get to the venue so hopefully next year there will be more Community Champions throughout Wales as a result. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE for all your donations, this really does mean the world to me. SANDS is an amazing charity and is much needed so your donations help to continue their awesome work. Ribbon Run Eve

Hi Everyone, 
Tomorrow I am walking a 5k to raise awareness and funds for the awesome charity Sands. I am walking in honour of my family members Ralph and Matthew and also for all those who I know (and don't know) that have lost a child during any stage of their lives. Last year I did the walk alone and with the aid of my crutches. This year I am the Community Champion and plan to walk unaided. 

If you would like to join me tomorrow then please do come along. It would be great to see you. If you can wear something  blue or pink even better.
