I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.  

Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. Why this is so personal to me and why I have chosen to try raise some money for this charity

In life when we decide to try for a family of our own sometimes we just expect these things to happen naturally or with assistance in seeking IVF but as some of us know this doesn’t always work out so well. 
Leading us all down different paths and difficulties.
Some of us do happily conceive and fortunately get the bundle of joy handed to them happy and healthy however some of us women this can result in death in the baby before, after or shortly after.
In my case previous to my darling baby girl arriving very healthy, I did suffer a miscarriage and after my little girl arrived I have suffered a further two miscarriages. 
Now I do understand I am very lucky to have my own baby girl but this still doesn’t take away the pain and feelings that I have towards my losses. 
This is very personal to me and it’s the first time I’ve managed to open up properly without emotions taking over.
This charity that I’ve decided to try raise awareness for and to try raise some money for is very dear to me and I’m sure will mean a lot to other people. 
There’s always people suffering something that isn’t always on display so it’s nice to be nice and always try you’re best with things that mean a lot to you 🤗❤️
