I’m running 30K in September in memory of my nephew, Sebastian, and for all families facing baby loss
My incredible brother and sister-in-law, Chris & Emily, welcomed their beautiful little boy into the world on the 6th February 2023. Devastatingly, Sebastian’s heart rate rapidly declined and he passed away shortly after he was born.
It has been heartbreaking to see my brother & Emily go through the grief of losing their baby boy. I’ve seen just how important support is during such a difficult time and it’s the reason why I am taking on this challenge, even though I am not a runner!
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.’
There will forever be a part of our family missing without Sebastian, but if I can raise even a small amount to help other families going through the same thing, then it will all be worth it 💙🧡
