I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss
We’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today, and in memory of our beloved daughter Amelia Rose Dollimore. We miss our baby girl with every ounce of our being, our perfect girl was dreamed of for so long, but her time in this world was cut far too short. Getting to spend 9 days together in NICU bonding, cuddling, feeding and changing our baby was the most precious time that we will cherish forever as parents.
We want to giveback in anyway we can to Sands for supporting us throughout this journey and grief, whilst navigating becoming new parents and looking after Freddie. Tom and I are aiming to run together where we can (babysitters permitted) to share this experience and raise awareness and funds for their life changing work. Running alongside looking after Freddie has been a juggle whilst recovering from birth but it’s all been worth it to feel closer to our daughter Amelia.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
