I’m walking 100km in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100km in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

We decided that when we would hit the 100km mark we wanted to be somewhere Willow had been, albeit just there in my tummy. So today we went to Rosepark farm Ballymoney and just past the giants chair, on the way to the petting hut, we did it!!! 100km smashed!! Thankyou for all the support, it meant more than you'll ever know!! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Official start!

Friday 1st Mar
After a few practice runs/walks Sloane and I began our first official walking for our willow in the stars walk today. We did 1.5km around the ecos. At around the halfway mark I heard a "My wee legs are too small and sore" so he got a piggy back the rest of the way! lovely wee morning, a little Robin followed us most of the way around, think we know who that is.πŸ‘ΌπŸ» Will update our total walking amount in the evening times.

Our missing piece

Monday 19th Feb
On the 2nd October 2018, our beautiful baby girl entered this world. Quite shockingly as i was only 25 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Tiny with big blue eyes, a 75% chance of survival and a fight bigger than any army she took life head on. We never knew 6 weeks and 2 days later we would be saying goodbye. Within that short time we saw a fiesty, headstrong, amazingly perfect little madam with more determination and strength than most adults.

5 years have passed and our hearts are still broken. The pain is, at times, unbearable. We miss her everyday and our little family will never be complete without her.

We have realised that whilst we will never be ready to move on, we owe it to her to carry on and carry her with us therefore we, as a family, are attempting to walk 100k in march for sands in her memory.Β  Thankful for any donations given, especially with the way the world is atm.

Willow, its because of you, we believe in angels πŸ‘ΌπŸ» so let's do this, letting everyone hear your name as we do so. Let's go baby girl! Mummy, Daddy, Hunter and Sloane love you so so very much. πŸ’–
