I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.

Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. If you’d like to join me on this challenge, you can sign up here http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk Starlight Walk events take place across the UK or you could choose to take part virtually at a location of your choice.

On the darkest of nights, the stars shine the brightest.

My Updates

My why.

Wednesday 13th Nov
As many of you already know, Rikki and Myself have had the heartbreak of losing several children too soon.
My first baby, my first loss, (who we loving named Charlie) was lost early on into the pregnancy. While this came with its own torture and heartbreak, what made it all the more difficult was the people who told me I was lying about my baby simply because I chose to keep my pregnancy quiet until my scan. We went on to lose our twins and BabyVee afterwards also. Having no memories or photos of these mean a memory becomes almost an imagination at this stage and makes you question the memory you have. Most recently I was due to have Riley November 31st which wasn’t meant to be but I’ve been able to get photos this time round. No matter the children born to me, these losses are forever raw and painful. Any way that we can help parents navigate through such life altering monumental loses is a must.
I know of people who have lost their baby shortly before/during and shortly after birth and this is not something any parent should have to deal with especially not alone. Help me help those who need it!
