I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

31 Miles of Love: Running for the Little Lives We Lost
Thursday 17th Apr Some journeys are measured not just in miles, but in meaning. This challenge is one of those journeys, a tribute to the babies who left this world too soon, and a testament to the love that remains.Every step I take on this run is for the parents who never got to hear their baby's first laugh, for the siblings who never got to share their toys, and for the families who carry the weight of loss every single day. It’s for the tiny lives that may have been brief but were deeply cherished.
Running 31 miles is no small feat. It’s gruelling, it’s exhausting, and it will push me to my limits. But this is my way of honouring those families strength and saying, "You are not alone."
This challenge is about more than just running. It’s about hope. It’s about creating a world where every baby has a fighting chance, and where every family has the support they need to heal.
To those who have experienced this unimaginable loss: this run is for you. For your babies. For the love that never leaves
