I’m walking 100K in March for families that have faced or is facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for our beautiful angel son and every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

A new update from sands team on where your money can help

How much are you hoping to raise during your challenge?

🧡 £20 could enable Sands to provide a memory box for parents to make precious memories with their baby.

💙 £30 could fund a space at an annual best practice workshop for healthcare professionals – to hear from Sands staff and meet other professionals working on bereavement care.

🧡 £35 could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

💙 £76 could help cover the costs of a Sands United football team for one week to support bereaved men and their families.

🧡 £100 could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance, and support.

💙 £140 could provide one full day of bereavement care training for healthcare professionals and NHS Staff.

Gifted Memory box

Tuesday 25th Feb
£1000 would supply 50 bereaved parents with a memory box. This will help them make special memories with their baby from hand and feet prints, photo SD card, ideas on photos, some have hand and foot casts, a special special story book for siblings and so much more. At the time of us loosing our son Kaitiaki it was such a blur from hearing that his heart had stopped and two days later I was in hospital to birth him we didn’t even think about this and we are so grateful to have been given the chance to make this special memories with him to take home with us.

Thank you all for your kind donations it means so much. We miss our son Kaitiaki ( baby Kai) so much and wished he could be with us still. We are trying to be strong and show our girls ways to help us and others all over.
