I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March in memory of our little Charlie and for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Me and Paddy sadly never got to meet our little one as we had a miscarriage at almost 18wks, we are still trying to work through that loss and find our new normal.. we are just hopeful we will eventually get our rainbow baby. 

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

I cannot put into words properly just how much these memory boxes mean to families going through this kind of loss, to us it is everything.. it’s proof our little Charlie was real.

We keep it away safely at home, as for us it’s still to painful to look, but to know we have that little box to show our little Charlie did exist means the world to us. We have a print of baby’s tiny hand and foot prints done and our nurses even took a couple of photos and sealed them should we ever feel ready to see.. we may never look but having that option to is just so precious to us. 

To have already raised enough to provide 5 families with the same little piece of their heart back is amazing.. and I’ve not even started yet..
