I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Turning Grief Into Purpose
Friday 18th AprI’m not usually the type to take on solo challenges — it’s never really been my thing (that’s usually my husband, always off doing the crazy and challenging stuff). But this one feels different. It feels right. It’s something deeply personal and incredibly close to my heart.
So, this May, I’ll be running 31 miles to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports families who’ve faced the unimaginable pain of baby loss, and funds vital research to help prevent more families from experiencing that heartbreak.
Sadly, this isn’t just a cause I read about — it’s one I know all too well and it’s part of my story/ We’ve felt that pain, more than once, and we’ve had to say goodbye to our little angels far too soon. That kind of grief never really leaves you, and we carry it every single day but it does push you to want change.
So this run isn’t just about the miles — it’s about doing something meaningful, for them, and for all the families who’ve had to walk this path.
If you can spare anything, please consider supporting this cause. Too many families are living this reality, and not enough is being done to save our babies’ lives.
And I know — 31 miles might not sound like a huge challenge to some — but for me, every single mile will carry a purpose. I’m aiming to go beyond that number, pushing myself as far as I can. In a way, this is part of my own little therapy too.
To anyone who donates: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. And to anyone who has faced or is facing a similar loss — I see you, I’m so sorry, and I hope we can stand together, raise awareness, and push for real change. More research, more support, more hope.
