I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss

As a midwife, I have the honour and responsibility of caring for families during some of the most heartbreaking moments of their lives – the loss of a baby. These babies are deeply loved and never forgotten.

To honour them, and to support the incredible work Sands does for grieving families, I’m taking on the challenge of running 31 miles this month.

I’m getting back into running after an injury, and this goal gives me purpose, strength, and motivation. Every mile I run is for the babies who are no longer with us and the families who carry them in their hearts forever.

Sands provides vital support, raises awareness, and funds research to help reduce the number of babies dying before, during and shortly after birth.
