I’m walking 28 miles in February for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 28 miles this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Our story
Monday 3rd Feb- My husband and I lost twin girls in August 2024 at 13 weeks. My pregnancy was a rollercoaster from initial scanning, what was a surprise pregnancy started off as delight, then shock when we learned I was carrying twins, followed by anxiety as the pregnancy progressed. Ending in devastation and heartbreak when we learned one of our girls had Turner’s syndrome.
Our poorly baby girl was never going to make it to this world, which affected her sister growing beside her and sharing the same placenta.
I was induced at 13 weeks and our precious angels were born at 18:11 on 14/08/24.
The midwives, doctors, support and bereavement team, including SANDS treated us with utmost respect and care.
We left the hospital to go home to our 2 year old boy and supportive family and friends.
Without these people, we would never have made it through the dark days.
I would love to raise awareness and funds for this amazing charity who helped us and who help so many others.
