I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.
Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.
Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. If you’d like to join me on this challenge, you can sign up here http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk Starlight Walk events take place across the UK or you could choose to take part virtually at a location of your choice.
On the darkest of nights, the stars shine the brightest.

Saturday 16th NovA Starry Sky
Saturday 5th Oct My husband and I met when we were already in our thirties. Love quickly blossomed and so did the desire to start a family. Like most people, we assumed that as we were fit and healthy, it wouldn't be a problem. We conceived relatively easily and despite a couple of early scares, when we got to 12 weeks and saw our baby was perfect, we were excited to tell our family & friends the news. Sadly, just 3.5 weeks later, our perfect tiny baby was born sleeping. The shock and heartbreak are hard to put into words and we struggled as the world moved on and we carried our silent pain, changed forever. What followed was 8 more years of loss after loss with no concrete answers. "Nothing wrong". Finally at the start of this year we were blessed with our happy healthy baby girl, our 10th baby, our first miracle. The reasons for pregnancy loss are not well understood and support is often lacking. We are walking on 16 November to remember our little angels and to raise money for better research so that future couples might not have to go through all that we have to get their rainbow.
