I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

My reason for walking 100km in March

Saturday 22nd Feb
I wasn't sure whether to sign up to this again this year, seeing as I have just done it again in September, but I wasn't doing it to fundraise then as it was more for my mental health, and I won't be signing up to it this September as I'll be in Florida for half the month - although I'm sure I'll smash 100k while there 🙈

And there is just something about doing this challenge in March that feels right.. I first did it 2 years ago just after we had lost Leila, and it was helpful to be a part of a community who are all supporting each other after loss ❤️ March is also trisomy awareness month so just feels fitting to do something in memory of Leila in March 💜 The walking is great for my mental health, and fitness, and more than anything I want to continue to raise awareness and raise money for a charity that helped us through the hardest time 💜

I may also find it a little more challenging this time as I will be fitting it around work - may be a good use of my lunch hour!
