I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

For Joshua

Thursday 27th Feb

3rd March 2015 our son Joshua was born sleeping. Just days before we had seen him on the screen, in black and white, wriggling around in my tummy, heart beat strong. Another little boy to complete our family.

We had already mapped out a life for him, given him a name, imagined him growing up alongside his big brother. And then this future we had imagined for him, with him, was gone.

It's been 10 years and in that time we have had another son, who wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Joshua.

Joshua will always be with us, never forgotten. Our sons talk about him with care and love and with the innocence of children, and we cherish and nurture his memory together.
