I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Saturday 10th Aug Ever since I was young, my dream was to be a mum. Every young child in my friendship and family circle brought me such happiness and I couldn't wait to have a child of my own.In 2015, I got in a relationship with the love of my life. February 2016, we made the decision to come off the pill and start to try for a baby. 2 years passed and no luck. 2018 - ping the pregnancy test stated pregnant 🤰, everything was falling into place. Eagerly waiting at the hospital pregnancy unit and the dreaded words came and my world came crashing down.
Everyone says, keep trying, it will happen, one day. Well here we are 2024, still no baby, lots of heartbreaking losses and still no baby to hold in my arms, watch as they sleep and watch them grow.
Keep the faith, keep hoping, your time will come. Words I've heard so many times, it's difficult to keep your hopes high when you've been through such heartbreak.
Growing up, I believed that you found a partner, got pregnant, and everything was easy. Unfortunately, it is not always easy for some people, and I am one of those people.
I'll walk for me, I'll walk for you, I'll walk to raise awareness of the heartbreak, I'll walk to spread awareness of sands.
