I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Not something myself or my husband ever imagined going through. Our baby sadly didn’t make it to earth and only to 9 weeks. We thought going into our 12 week scan we’d be coming out celebrating the life we’d brought into the world as we’d already had an 8 week scan showing no signs of concern. Nor had I seen any signs in those 3/4 weeks to be worried about. Sadly there was no heartbeat and we were absolutely heartbroken and continue to be. We’d rightly or wrongly planned the next year of our life and everything had just been turned upside down.
This challenge will sadly never bring back our baby but will ease the pain knowing it is going back into the support for such a devastating time. Then we can try and get ourselves back being mentally ready to try for our rainbow baby.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Nearly the end of March
Monday 24th Mar I've now nearly reached 200km this month, which I am really pleased about. However, when I hit 31st March I am reminded that I would have been 20 weeks gone. I am still really struggling with this journey but have found getting out each day important for me even if I am not always able to do it with a smile on my face. Share
Half way there…
Saturday 8th Mar We’re 4 weeks since our angel baby was born and now half way through the challenge. Some days have been easier than others with a constant wave of emotions. The walks have kept me going and given me purpose each day to share my story with others and encourage donations towards such an important cause but also just get outside.Thank you to my Sponsors
