Our reason why

So after approaching the 5th year of our relationship, we agreed it was time to start trying for a baby. Very quickly, it happened. But just as quick, it was taken away. On the 16th February 2024 I started to bleed. And by the 18th February, I felt like I was in labor and went through the most traumatic experience of my life.

And as time goes on, it doesn’t get any easier. Especially when we are still wanting to grow our family with no success so far.

I ran for this charity last year as I had experienced a loss of a twin in my first pregnancy 8 years ago not knowing I would be back here for a second time. So here we are, me and my partner, supporting each other through 10k, to raise money for SANDS

We’re taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

We’re taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Support us as we take on 5, 10 or 15km together in support of Sands, helping them to continue to build a world where more babies survive and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.

Ribbon Run is a sponsored run, walk or jog where thousands of people come together to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. It’s free to sign up and it’s up to you how you take part. You can run it, walk it, push it, or jog it; alone or with friends and family.

By sponsoring us, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£3 - could provide a Sands birth certificate for a baby whose birth cannot be registered through a register office.
