2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Updates

Oh gosh, what am I doing?

Saturday 8th Aug
It’s always good to know your ‘why’… so this first post is to let you know why I’ve decided to walk 100K in Sept.
I’ve always been the sort of person who likes to show love in action, if someone’s lonely we invite them for dinner, if they are moving house we muck in and help. However there’s one thing which many of my friends have been through where I’ve felt utterly helpless - baby loss & miscarriage. There are no good words to say to someone grieving the loss of their baby, a meal might be nice but it doesn’t touch the surface of grief. However, I can walk, although I’ve not attempted 100K in 30 days before!
SANDs is a charity that aims to support people through baby loss, and rally’s for better maternal health. So I’m raising money for this wonderful charity with every step I take in Sept.
This is my very small way to stand with my wonderful friends who’ve experienced baby loss and support them.
If you’d like to help make a change to maternal care please consider supporting me.
